The Railway NTPC exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to recruit candidates for various non-technical posts in Indian Railways. It remains one of the most popular government exams because it offers stable jobs, good salary, and long-term career growth.
Under NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories), the exam includes posts such as Junior Clerk, Accounts Clerk, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, Goods Guard, and Station Master. These roles attract a large number of applicants every year due to job security and career stability.
The selection process has multiple stages. Candidates first appear for CBT 1 (Computer-Based Test), then CBT 2. Depending on the post, they also take a Skill Test or Typing Test. After qualifying these stages, candidates complete Document Verification and undergo a medical examination. The syllabus covers Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness. Aspirants must understand these subjects clearly and practice regularly to achieve a good score in the exam.
